The BellaPizzelle Kitchen

This is where we started out in 2002, mom's kitchen in Kennett Square, PA.  You can't imagine how we produced thousands of cookies during the holidays when orders peak.  Today, BellaPizzelle is located in Morgantown, PA where we custom built our gourmet kitchen to how pizzelles are made.  With the help of the FDA and their definition of specs and regulations, and our builder, and with productivity and efficiency in mind, the kitchen came to life. Inside the cares of the world are replaced by the delicious aroma of orange and anise extracts and the fast hands at work by the DiNorscia family.

In the beginning when Bellapizzelle was just a concept, Mom wanted to keep busy. Denise wanted a potential future long after retirement. The family yearned to do something together – perhaps for a very long time. The DiNorscia family recipe pizzelle was perfected. BellaPizzelle was born.

Running multiple irons to yield the volumes needed, especially during the holidays, Denise and Lucy produce uniform pizzelles by baking two pizzelles at a time. This is about as mass-produced as you can get without sacrificing the integrity of each cookie. Pizzelles are flipped twice during the cooling process and are then powder sugared. A variety of inserts are added to package like the History of the Pizzelle and ingredient / gift card, hand signed.

We’ve been fortunate to be featured in local newspapers, Woman’s Day magazine, Philadelphia Magazine and on a CBS news show “How to Make the Perfect Pizzelle.” Mom couldn’t believe we could start a business at her age then, 78. She is 85 this year, and we are thrilled that she is going strong.
